The espadrille, a footwear with thousands of years of history

The oldest documented footwear in Europe was found on the Spanish Mediterranean coast.

They were esparto sandals dating back over 6,000 years. These sandals evolved into what we now know as espadrilles, a product that has been deeply intertwined with our culture and has a designation of origin.

Over the years, we have perfected the product using materials that improve comfort and fit. We combine innovation in technology and materials with the hand-stitching of our espadrilles and the latest trends to offer you a contemporary product with more than 6,000 years of history.

The result is a unique product in which culture, tradition and new trends converge.

Toni Pons, more than 75 years of making handmade footwear

Faithful to the origin of this product, we continue to handcraft our emblematic espadrilles in Spain, thus paying tribute to a product with a designation of origin. The manufacturing process of Toni Pons espadrilles has similarities with the original, such as the hand-stitching of the jute sole with the upper.

Over 75 years of experience have allowed us to innovate to be more efficient while maintaining the highest quality. That is why we can offer a handmade product made in Spain with an excellent quality-price ratio. This has helped us to position ourselves as world leaders in this type of product.
